Sound Barrier

by Sunshine   Oct 3, 2020

Deeply and thoroughly
you strike in daylight,
like sadness in motion
and strong emotions..
You break out amid crowds
through honks and chatter.
You roam all around
like pain in prose poems
and heartbreak in regret songs.
..and I hear you,
in the loud echoes of the night
and in sound pollution
all day long.
For I hide from the blackouts
and find my sleep in the noise.

I love how you spoke your mind in this, yet it’s such a beautiful poetical piece.

“ For I hide from the blackouts
and find my sleep in the noise.”
