It was a fierce short summer.
A ripe trunk had died.
So maybe dig me another hole into spring,
in case you passed by my winter house.
I could, perhaps, watch the unfortunate seeds
as they rise,
onto piles of dry roots
that ceaselessly ooze outside my cold window.
This is sooooooooooo deep, and every time I read it it gives me chill. The First two lines are veryyyyy powerful, i cant believe that a short poem like this could say so much!!
