Life or Money?

by Milly Hayward   Feb 23, 2021

Down into the pits of hellish pain
We find our spirits falling
Seems there can be no respite
When death looms without warning

Too many bodies stacking up
Grief grinds our faith to dust
Where is hope in this dark gloom
When people lack all trust?

Is this the prophesy of doom
That Christians foretold of old?
Is this the end of all we know
Or is it just lies missold?

Should we fight for every breath
Cling to all we think we need?
Or should we close our eyes, give in
And pray for death with speed?

Seems to me whilst some are saved
End the lockdown is the cry
It's an argument for life or money
Which reflects that more could die

Oh how I long for days gone by
When people cared for each other
Now they think just me, me, me
And would even stab their brother

Rog, I'm sorry but I just can't take you seriously. What a joker you are. You almost had me going for one tiny moment on your first message but the second was the giveaway. I saw right through you then. I get it. Times are dark and we all need a good laugh and boy did that make me laugh. (still chuckling) Can't believe that there are actual people out there who genuinely believe that garbage. Still the world is full of strange and interesting people. You really are a crazy dude x

Ok I hope you are right. I won't take any vaccine because I'm not afraid of getting a virus. Way more scary to read the label on those ???? prevention? cure? immunity? care? health? . I don't get it. But I am crazy who cares

Talking about craziness imagine people like me who thinks there is no pandemic and those who want the vaccine are crazy. "You don't need a pandemic for people to take the vaccine, you just need the fear of a pandemic".

Rog, Thankyou for taking the time to comment. It doesn't really make sense to me that someone would believe that fear alone of an imagined pandemic would be reason enough for governments (globally) to jeopardise their economies spending billions on lockdowns and vaccines on a whim.

I'm sure instead that the many thousands of families currently grieving for loved ones they have lost or almost lost would wish there had been a vaccine in place sooner.

Milly I understand it too well because some people very close to me think the same, to my dismay. In case you dare to think for yourself, take a look at this video from 2014 :

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuOxG-rnj30&feature=youtu.be

This is the document mentioned in the video, look for page 18:

And this is just one example, I could paste many more links of serious scientists and doctors.

So much despair in this poem. The truth is, this pandemic is killing us. If we don't end up being one of the many in the morgue, our minds will twist into unrecognisable wrecks. I know i have joked about zombies, but some people do seem fixated on the end of lockdown that yes, they would rush this and ignore that their blindness could cause the death of their brother!

Well said, Milly. It is nice to have you back. :)
