My dear, darling painter,
You mix colors and
Shades I've never known
How to name and whisk
Me off to world's
That truly only
Dreams could house.

You taught me to
Press flowers into
My poetry and allowed
Me to learn
What heartache felt
Like long before I
Ever even knew love.

There is magic in
The way you not only
Create but share
So easily as well -
And I want to
Give like you do.
