2021 NaPoWriMo #18

by M. Rene'   Apr 18, 2021

It always was mid-spring
or late summer when we would
visit the river bank - the art festivals,
the people out in the big real world
doing scary real things.

I don’t know why it happened
that way. Why it was always those
perfectly cool, as the blossoms bloom
kind of weather - but it was. And that
is why I press petals still.

Why I don’t call.

Why no one uses
your name anymore.
