Depression (acrostic#2)

by Em   Jun 2, 2021

Desperation
Escapes my
Pores but
Relatives don't
Exist in my
Sorrowful
Situation;
Isolated, I stand
On my own.
Never trust anyone.

    When we learn to love the self we are never truly alone. The trouble is life throws us horrors that weigh us down until we feel worthless. The truth is we can shed this weight and learn to breathe. It takes time but little by little love will return. Xx

    Depression is too easily ignored or simply missed by society as a whole, but when it comes to those dearest to us, it is, in my opinion, an unacceptable scenario. They are the ones who should be vigilant to our ailments most of all - whatever they may be - and so when they are not, the isolation and loneliness has a more profound effect: they love us, don't they? So why aren't they there?
    I will respectively disagree with that last line, Em. Trust those who deserve to be trusted - who have proven themselves worthy first - but never trust blindly.

    All the best as ever,
    Ben
