The Lighter Side of Life

by Walter   Jun 13, 2021

It's like walking outside
When it starts to rain
Most the reaction
Is people complain

But I do not care
Nor let it cause strife
Because I will accept
That this is just life

It's like saving some money
That you put aside
Planning a cruise
Which now is denied

A bill unexpected
Arrives in the mail
Where you're forced to accept
That you can't set sail

It's like losing your job
Which you so enjoyed
Though soon word of mouth
Has you employed

But no longer now happy
With this downplay
You still should be thankful
To bring home a pay

I've always been this way
Rather than to curse
Because there is no point
To making it worse

And life will go on
Long after you die
I learnt to hide all the darkness
In a blink of an eye
