Winter Forest

by cassie hughes   Jan 27, 2022

With winters silent shroud the forest waits
for formless foggy breath to evanesce,
The rime garbed boscage smothers vocal states,
All creatures hold suspended livelihood,
Enchanted drifters wander vacant, lost
through timeless tunnels wrought in icy shades.
Monochromatic world of sparkling frost,
So breathtaking yet brings with it a cost.

I also , so enjoyed this piece. I saw elegance in your vocabularies, as much as your ability to paint.
