Dear death.

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 29, 2024

(trigger warning)

You’re terrifying when you invade my space
but the thrill of you calls to me.
I think of all your possibilities.
Seconds, it could take seconds.
It’s so easy to romanticize it all.
Why should I care, when I don’t have much left?
Everyone has someone.
I don’t belong to anyone, not even myself.
So how about I belong to you?
Love me, the way he never did.
Love me, the way I never could love myself.
Take me and hold all my insecurities.
Take all my doubt away.
You’re all that I have energy for.
