I really want to be with you
But you just want to be my friend
I have told you how I feel inside
But this now seems to be the end

You cannot offer anymore
I will not accept anything less
I have tried to hide this from you
But it causes me so much stress

You let me look like a fool
As I allow you to see inside my heart
Only to tell me your'e not interested
And that we should be apart

I thought we were good friends
So why did you cause me pain
You let me believe you really cared
And left without trying to explain

    Just a few things in the third stanza:

    You let me look like a fool
    As I allow (you) to see inside my heart
    Only to tell (me) (you're) not interested
    And that we should be apart

    I can really relate to this one... have been there before! Great work!
