Forgotten Soul

My bleeding heart and shattered dreams.
Unanswered wishes torn at the seams.

Hope dangling in the stale, dead air.
Hatred shadowing my vacant stare.

Existence lost...my being gone.
Disappearing within the morning dawn.

Evaporating like an unseen tear.
Memories vanish, was I ever here?

Darkness surrounds me, turning red.
A forgotten soul hangs by a thread.

Take the scissors, cut the strings.
Unable to fall with demon wings.

There's no escape, caught in flight.
Taking me under, deep in the night.

Shadows dancing, black as coal.
As entrancing evil swallows me whole!

    wow, another gr8 one. i loved the second line, the symbolism you use is perfect for what your trying to describe.

    i love the symbolism "unseen tear" it means so much when you compare it to real life, good job
