Childhood?

by Knight_of_Blackrose   Dec 5, 2004

Age 19? Seems like 91
Forced to grow up too fast
In a place where youth never lasts
Responsibility and situations arise
And maturity becomes necessary to survive
If I outlast it I will thrive
Only hoping I will survive
People ask me my age
They act befuddled and enraged
That someone so young has seen so many things end up in a grave
Actions and events have made me this way
Too old in intelligence and experience to try and make it go away
It is a blessing and a curse, to be this wise.
The blessing is knowledge, the curse.... to see others demise
