One Bad Day...

by Kaitlin Kristina   Dec 10, 2004

One bad day proceeded by
A bad life,
Lost between tears,
Pain and strife,

One bad moment,
Filled with anguish,
Retrospection of years,
Made of abuse, I languish.

One long drink,
One thousand sad lies,
Countless tears,
That fall from my eyes.

Dozens of pills,
Failed attempts,
To cut my life short,
The devil, I tempt.

Faded scars,
Along my arm,
Telling stories of how
Myself, I harm.

Bloodshot eyes,
Pale white skin,
Frail and bony,
Forgive my sins.

Needle marks,
Broken veins,
Heroin junky,
The addiction remains.

Darkness inside,
Wallow in pain,
Endless nights,
With ball and chain.

One bad day proceeded by
A bad life,
It had to start somewhere,
But it will end tonight.
