Silent Cries.

by Marta   Jan 8, 2005

I remember him crying
In his little white room
Quietly I would watch him
Slip away in his gloom.

Without a darting sound
I'd quietly close his door
Living in constant fear
Unsure of what to do anymore.

I'd hear him scream
Gasping for a breath
His face full of tears
Hoping for his death.

So I would hold him
Singing his favorite song
Telling him it's okay
That he has to be strong.

Every minute of the day
I'd hear his silent cries
Only to find him alone
With his teared up eyes.

At school he can't focus
From the lack of friends
He has no one to turn to
Nor time to mend.

So to this very sad day
I stand by his grave
Laying a single white rose
For his strength and being brave.

In his suicide letter
One thing I didn't know
About him being beaten
By people he didn't know.

The kids at his school
Caused my sons death
From a word to a punch
He granted his last breath.

A very lonely mother
Without her only son
Searching for a life..
A new life to run.

At home when I'm alone
I'd would think of his eyes
And when I'd walk by his room
I could still here his silent cries.

* Alot of young kids commit suicide for being bullied at school, and many of us don't really realize it. And sadly, the result is death put into their own hands. I just wanted to remind people how important it is to know that bullying can cost a person's life.*
(This is not a true poem for me, but it can be to mothers who lost their sons/daughters by suicide because of bullies.)
