Gave Up On Love

by Robert   Jan 14, 2005

Fourteen and you know the world as you can see,
a vision of life and what love can be.
Spitting on it because you have failed and you want no more,
that the pain has ripped your heart’s core.
Do you delude your self every day to see this sight,
will you give up so easy without a fight.
Are you weak and can’t hold a candle to see the end,
maybe even taking a lover as a closer friend.
So roll back your sleeves and dig right in,
for if you don’t you won’t know the person that lies within.
Don’t preach to me of how a boy turns into a man,
for in life there is a master’s plan.
Seek out what is your true delight,
for you will surely find it when you fight.
Love some jest or some even walk away from it all the way,
but weather you like it love and hate will always stay.
Learn to adapt what you find to your liking and pleasure,
for in true compromise it is something you can measure.
Take every person in stride for we are not all right or wrong,
but know what you want will surely make your quest strong.
Don’t take the first man that is hung on his every word,
for in body and form he is perfect but in mind he is a terd.
For trove shall only be held when you have to go through all the hell,
and it may not come forth even if you yell.
Understand the true crime is to turn you back on it all the same,
or the real pain in life is living without it, and that’s the shame.

I loved the flow, the way every line just flowed so well into the next. You really did a good job on this. If i was to be crytical in any way, all i would say is, the structure needs a little work, capital letters, questiion marks, that kinda thing just tidies it up and makes it look alot neater.

    Love always,
