A Day in My Shoes

If you could spend one day in my shoes

My guess is you would know
Just why I'm the way that I am
And why I'm always low

If you could spend one day in my shoes

You would finally see
What it is that makes me tick
And that you have it much better than me

If you could spend one day in my shoes

You may be scarred for life
My life is much harder than you may think
You may even take up a knife

So if you spend one day in my shoes

Remember what it was like in my place
And next time you have it bad
Just take a look at my face
