Life

by Lance Hardy   Feb 4, 2005

Another petal drops
More beautiful than the last
With time, comes inner beauty
Because forever, you have the past

Memories of laughter
When kids would just play
Immortal in their youth
But their minds didn’t stay

Reality had called
Fantasy, forever on hold
Pressure pushed them around
And everything became cold

But little did they know
That they wouldn’t stay torn
Every life is full of promise
Everyday, they can be reborn

Life is what you make of it
After all, you’re a human being
Just as good as everyone else
Each day, can be a new beginning

Wowzers, i like it. Hmmm... especially the last stanza. That is, if you're not a lvl 10 fighter :-P

on the first line, it should be "petal," not pedal. Besides that, I really liked it. Reminds me of the good ol' days eh? Something about the last line seems a bit off, but yeh, good poem.
