Raining Tears

I stare out the window
Mesmerized by the fall
Of the rain that comes down
To wash away the sins of all

As each drop hits the small pools
Tiny ripples go out
But then they disappear
And another ripple drifts throughout

Drops hit the window
And they start to race down
They patter on the glass
Making that lovely sound

I stand with the tears still falling
Out the door I run
In the rain I now stand
I am the only one

I cry with no comfort
Then the rain gently kisses my cheek
That feeling that I've been searching for fills me up
I need no longer seek

That love I have been looking for
I have found it in the rain
It heals my bloody wounds
And releases all my pain

As I dance around in bliss
The clear water washes away all the blood
I lay in the grass with my face up
As the waters around me flood

I slowly step inside
A wistful feeling in my mind
I go back to the window
To where I will forever be confined

As I stare at the rain again
I see it as a mirror
My eyes are raining tears
As the waters continue to pour
