You don't know me, you never will

by Avellana   Feb 18, 2005

I can share with you my inner thoughts
In verses, in these lines
Because I’ll never see your face
As it contorts, when you try to hide

I could tell you all my secrets
You’d never hold against, or judge
My state of mind, the state of which
Would collapse with the slightest nudge

To them, I seem so confident
Smiling and carefree
No one sees the other version of the person I am
Which has grown in my psyche

I don’t know whom I hate the most
The two faced b***h, or the roommate from hell
Who talks about the new bag that I bought
Or my body at night which I sell

That I’m a witch, not white or black
Or any color here besides
That I’m a washed up wreck, a fugitive
Trying to escape from this monotonous life

It’s ironic I can share my soul
On this page, for all to see
When I keep this passion (there only is one)
…From close friends and family

It’s not something I even plan to do
It only awakens during the night
For someone to truly see my soul
And understand/recognize, my plight

You don't know me, you never will
