Wishing On A Star

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Feb 27, 2005

Wishing on a star seems to be the way to go,
but the outcome of it all is something we will never know,
you can not honestly predict that your dreams will come true,
just from wishing on something that is supposedly there to help you.

Wishing on a star does not make all of your dreams come true,
but you do it because you are lost in the world with nothing else to do,
so you look up into the galaxy above and whisper for all the angels to hear
i wish i may i wish i might be gone by the end of tonight with nothing else to fear.

You turn out your lights and get into your bed,
angels above not wanting to believe that you are wishing to be dead,
they finally realize that these are the years when you really need their help,
because you are no longer able to help yourself.

Wishing on a star does not help you succeed what you want
but here come the chorus of angels to see why your death you always taunt,
among those ghosts is your grandfather who passed away years ago,
what you were going through is something he wanted to know.

Wishing on a star brought him here tonight,
standing over you he leans over and touches your forehead and gently gives it a kiss and you open your eyes with such fright,
you see a ghost standing before you who looks so familiar but yet not knowing why,
until you think deep down of who it could be and you start to cry.

He dries your tears and holds you close,
he has saved you from another one of your attemptions at overdose,
he looks into your eyes and gives a few words of wisdom,
and then a cloud of dust appears and he is gone.

Wishing on a star caused you to stay awake that night,
on your nails you did bite,
you wanted to believe what you had witnessed just then,
but it could have only been your imagination.

Wishing on a star reunited you with someone from your past,
your temptation of death faded fast,
everything was all good and you had no more worries,
until people put into your heart so much fury.

They want me dead is what you always told yourself,
because if they didn't why would they put me through so much hell?
they want to push me over the edge,
because they love the thought of me spilling some more red.

Wishing on a star that night you did pray,
for you...death was the only way,
you were doing drugs, cutting yourself, and drinking to ease the pain,
but slowly they did drive you insane.

Wishing on a star you say you want to be dead,
so for the last time you were gonna spill some red,
but as you fade after you hit a vein,
outside your window you hear it start to rain.

The thunder crashes against the wind,
the lightning flashes as your death pulls you in,
you feel so cold and so alone,
theres a flickering light and all thats left is a wick where your life's candle once shone.

Wishing on a star brings you nothing but misery and dreading when it is going to come true,
but this time, it seen me through,
i picked up my razor blade and signed my wrists and throat leaving one last scar,
and it all started by wishing on a star.
