Jersey Girl

by Heather M Craig   Feb 27, 2005

Complaints of your life,
the one you left behind
longing for the retrieval
overcasts your mind.

The friendships left
and love on hold
burns the heart
or so I am told.

I know you miss it,
It's all in your eyes.
Nothing compares
to your Jersey life.

The fun has faded
and friends are few.
The life you want
has abandoned you.

I wish you could go
as long as you're happy
back on step of retrieval
and you can forget me.

--dedicated to Kelsea Robinson, I mean I love her and all, she's my best friend here but she dwells on the idea of goin back to Jersey and how bad her life sucks here so I guess I can't wait till May when she gets her wish :*( --

i know what you mean to have a friend want something that you wish they kinda didn't want because that meant they would leave you. it's tough i have had to experiance this at least twice, just keep on wishing them the best! great poem 5/5 from me! PLP

    Awww that's really good.
Makes it seem like she doesn't want to be around the people she's around now, but that's probably not the reason. Maybe she's just homesick?
