My Definition

So heart of steel,
icy death consuming feeling
depth of meaning lost in translation
control gained by something evil

living life to the full, lucky for some
then you read they're stories
the tales of doom
body and soul,brain and heart
a loss of life, a creeping death

a new beginning, an everlasting feeling
a freedom from the iron chains
the shackles opened that split second
injected with excitement
overwhelmed by all the chaos
now suddenly relaxed and calmed

muffled sound glazed eyes
curtains draped in front
hidden behind a carpet underneath the loft
secrets never found
misplaced by the owner
suffocated by the stress, exasperating nightmare

screaming, wretched noise
bursting drums bleeding life
random words mushed together
scrambled thoughts that make no sense

life sucked from a body
soul has left the corpse
freedom looking to be found again
searching galaxies for the source
realization followed by acceptance
grovel and apologize
last wish granted
but peace still adrift
life never found from blessed death
but lost and full of regret

Wow! Usually I understand poems the instant I read them, but for yours I had to sit and think for a minute or two. It was very deep. Good job! Read some of my stuff if you ever get a chance.
