Now that ive lost you

I used to love you
But now its hate
You were my hero,
My saviour, my mate

I looked up to you
Like any child would
I’ve tried to forgive
I really wish I could

You were my mum
Supposed to care for me
You’re causing me pain
Why can’t you see?

I know I’m not perfect
You remind me so often
I'm not stick thin
But you’ll soon have your wish

Did you know
What I do at night
Just to survive all
Our battles and fights

Each day I grow weaker
Struggling to survive
What’s the point in living
If I don’t feel alive

I don’t know what happened
Or where I went wrong
I'm no longer your daughter
But a disappointment instead.

So tonight when I cut
Just a little too deep
God will be waiting
to take me under his wing

    Very well written with such true emotion also so sad. I remember growing up and feeling I could never do anything right in my moms eyes. But now that I am older we now get along. I hope things will work out for u! Hang in there Take Care!

    I dont agree that it is a "powerful poem,..
    It is a Very POwerful poem.
    For me it takes a lot of energy
    when i'm writing poems like this..

    Yeah i agree, very powerful poem, and i enjoyed reading it. I especially liked the last few lines, the ones about God taking you under his wing. Keep on writing, loved this one.
