Solitaire Dreamer

by Heather M Craig   Mar 22, 2005

Mutilated wrists from the power of blade,
suicide failure in gratitude of Christ's aid,
the incapacity of the home I was raised,
the belittlement behind the ideas of grace.

Liberal-minded one with expanded creativity
outcasted by the conventional idiocy.
I am the solitaire dreamer of spirited hopes
with the ideas to breathe down your throat.

I once feared to not belong in your society
but I shattered that mirror of unsatisfactory
and replaced it with anew and inspiration
and burned ,the once erect, shadow curtain.

I took the deeper look inside myself
and evaporated the words of everyone else.
My head held high in pure delight
because I've won the battles that I fight.

Solitaire dreamer, doesn't bother me a bit
because I embrace the mistakes I commit.
I have placed my life in hands of God
with realization, either you like me or not.

I need nothing to impress your likes
for I accept the fact we are unlike.
I don't know whether you aknowledge yourself
but I'm going to forevermore be myself.

Heather M Craig

--basically, this illustrates from the former problem of being afraid to be who I am and face the world alone, but I, now, am a "solitaire dreamer" with a take no shyt attitude or I'm on my way at least :) --
