New Heights

by Heather M Craig   Mar 27, 2005

Looking back over the years,
when full happiness used to be mine,
oblivious to all of the priorities
until depression and heartache had me refined.

Lost everything I grasped too tightly,
friendships vanish from the palm of my hands,
abuse that broke my heart into pieces,
the world's submerge was not what I had planned.

Everything I thought was promising
suddenly abandoned my virgin eyes,
every change lifted me to new heights,
things, then, I could never comply.

As time ticks like the flames that perish,
my soul has begun to rejoice,
my eyes have viewed the new perspectives
in every inaccurate choice.

- Never look down on the mistakes you made and wrongturns that God gives you, be thankful for each one for it blossoms you into a refined person within patience. -
