We'll Never Be

by Tara   Aug 15, 2003

Reaching out, I touch his face,
Can’t reach his heart, its empty space.
So I drag mine along behind
Searching for something I can’t find.
Though he says he loves me so,
True love, whole heart, I’ll never know.
Caressing the past with his soul,
His heart remains that vacant hole.
The only love out there for me
But now I know we’ll never be.
