As I Lay Here Dying

by Amy   Mar 29, 2005

As I lay here dying
Struggling to breathe this polluted air
Inhaling dust and smoke
The crowd around me stares

As I lay here dying
No one can hear my silent cries
Drowning in my black tears
Leaking from my hollow eyes

As I lay here dying
Watching the blood flow from my veins
My entire body falls numb
Down this endless spiral I fall again

As I lay here dying
Pulse racing at the speed of light
Shadows form above me
Daylight turns into night

As I lay here dying
Confronted by my fears
The Angel of death calls
I can feel her presence so near

With each passing second
My soul is fading away
Why cant anybody see
I'm dying more each day
