My Name

I've done a lot of bad things in my past
that has brought unto me an abundance of shame
and to pay for all of the hurt I've caused,
society has ripped apart my given name.

In the spotlights of the pain I've thrown,
I've sacrificed my only reputation,
and no one but I can repair the falsity
of society's growing, steadied creation.

From the years I've wasted with immaturity,
my immoral judgement led me upon those ways
but as I flourished into the new being that stands before you,
still, my reputation can never be severed away.

But I --- I can only only fight for the justice
to prove society who I am and shall be.
I can only pray they fight their ignorance
and see beyond the name to view the real me.
