Melancholy's Friend

by HOLLY ARMER   Apr 11, 2005

My thought's are racing, body's tense.
Raging static...makes no sense.

Unbearable stress feeling so weak.
Losing the fight, unable to speak.

Hateful thoughts, polluting my soul.
Anger and madness, taking it's toll.

Stealing my smile, clouding the sun.
Suffocating laughter by killing my fun.

Where's the girl I used to be?
Optimistic and fun, completely carefree.

Gone away, I'm no longer here.
Caught in turmoil and raped by fear.

Cast into tears and unable to mend.
Living my life as Melancholy's friend!

Incredible poem! "Caught in turmoil and raped by fear" was my favorite part. It seems this poem was flawlessly imagined by a beautiful mind. You brought it across wonderfully.

    Good job.
