Lovely Depression

Lovely scars
Along my arm
A reminder that
I self-harm

Lovely cuts
Blood red trails
My own escape
When all else fails

Lovely tears
Leak through my eyes
My tiny heart
Crumbles and dies

Lovely bones
So thin it shows
My hungry body
No one knows

Lovely life
Just fell apart
A broken home
A broken heart

Lovely friends
High off life
Too blind to see
The bloody knife

Lovely blood
Forever flows
Day by day
No one knows

Lovely drugs
Get me high
Pain is numb
Time flies by

Lovely pain
From cold hard fists
Only escape
Shows on my wrists

Lovely relief
From the dark
My only escape
Leaves a mark

Lovely knife
Slit my wrists
Dice my heart
Into bits

Lovely poem
Free my mind
Free this depression
Over time
