Only Memories

You held that knife,
Against your wrist,
Wanting to escape the pain,
With deaths intriguing kiss,

To the kitchen you headed,
Pulled out your tool,
Slide it across times of three,
Didn’t you feel like a fool?

You sat and watched the blood poor,
Seeping through the latest incision,
Crimson blood tears of life,
Guide this soul to the right decision,

Put down your tool,
Step away from the blade,
Look at your guardian angel,
Who begins to fade?

Dedicated to Daniel, don't do it.

You went too far,
You went to deep,
Your souls now released,
Only memories for me to keep.

    great poem. I am sorry to hear about your friend doing that. I know how it feels to watch them do that but cant seem to help them at all! Well, good luck and try to make him feel special and let him know how much he means to you. maybe share you poems to him about how much it hurts you to see him doing that to himself! Great poem!
