Fallacious Aspirations

by Heather M Craig   Apr 29, 2005

Aspirations can be reached
in the sudden blink of an eye
with a forceful attempt,
not the simplicity of a try!
And sometimes when dreams are made,
they are not what appeared in conception.
Only a nightmare silently approached
in a solitaire misguided connection.

Broken hearts from love gone wrong
and other astonishing elements of the aftermath.
We sought another track of life
but ended on an unusual, unnoticed path.
What we seek is another ray of sunshine
but darkness envelops us whole.
But when the downpour has descended,
we are rewarded in mind, body, and soul.

Heather M Craig.

--Sometimes we seek a dream and like it's always been told, if we try hard enough, we can achieve, but sometimes dreams turn with the opposite effect, but in the end, we still are rewarded with something more spectacular than the dream.--

True lesson... I rarely say this, but I did like your wording. Most poets do NOT know how to word a poem. It's as if a mental veil covers their thoughts. Anyway, you impressed me. Read some of my work if you find the time.

Another insightful masterpiece! You are such a gifted poet, well done! Oh and I loved the creativity you conveyed in "My Heart's Monologue"! Loved that one as well, but couldn't comment, so here it is~Holly
