In the war of your hope I believe I'm losing
why is it death that you may be choosing
Is dancing on the edge what you find amusing
I just need an answer I'm not accusing

you're feeling cold and you feel all alone
I hate to see how distant you've grown
the light in your eyes now cold as stone
and all your dreams out the window they're thrown

the hope in your voice has become so weak
all you say, now sounds so bleak
like the pain in your heart has reached its peek
and sends another tear streaming down your cheek

wheres the girl that I once knew
the one that helped me make it through
she took my gray skies and made them blue
has she given up???can this be true

If you give up on you, you give up on me
there is still hope why don't you see
baby I'm begging, I'm down on one knee
deaths not the answer, live let it be
