Unseen Pleasures of A Blind Woman

by Heather M Craig   May 22, 2005

--I read a poem by Failed on here earlier today and it inspired me to write this. You should definatly check hers out as well.--

"I've never saw my parent's faces
nor the smile that graces my looking glass.
I've never saw my husband's eyes
nor seen the spotlights of my child's past.

I've never saw a face of emotion
nor a sky painted with a magical hue.
I've never saw my best friend
nor a rainbow that touches the blue
......................................."

"But I've touched my parent's features,
smiled every day of my constructing life.
I've kissed my husband's loving peepers
and hugged away my children's strife.

I've felt a face of emotion in my heart
and imagined the skies you see.
I listen to the wind's alluring whisper
and created a rainbow inside of me
......................................"

I illustrate my own world inside
wishing I could take advantage
of the world society takes for granted.

it wierd how other people things for granted and not know what they have until they lose it and this shows not something losing what they have but only gaining more happiness inside rather than seeing the happiness i think that this poem what wonderful you really should keep writing inspiring poems like this cause it might end up helping a lot of people see what they have
