Never let you know

I fell in love with you,
But i never let you know.
Every time you waved goodbye,
I wished you wouldn't go.

It was a special feeling,
That i always had to hide.
I had to keep it in my heart,
I had to bury it inside.

I hid my secret very well,
Over so many years
You were my best friend all that time,
Through the laughter and the tears.

When you got a girlfriend,
I tried so hard to stay strong.
I acted pleased and happy for you,
Even though it felt so wrong.

My friends told me i had to,
Let you know just how i feel.
But i couldn't ruin out friendship,
That i knew was real.

You see i fell in love with you,
But i can never let you know.
It's cos you mean so much to me,
That i'm going to let you go...

    I could definitely relate to this poem a few years go when i fell in love with my best friend n then he got a gf - who was my friend who knew i liked him.. l0l a whle other story nd ive written poems about that situation t0o bus as i said before on my other account. anyway a very touching piece hun. vry well written xx

    you're right it does hurt when you can't tell him tell him how you ifeel, even though he's so close it seems as thought he's a million miles away....loves hurts you no matter which way you go....i love this poem and its written so well....good job
