Let Me Show You a Place

by shannon   Jul 9, 2005

Here is where the water softly caresses the shore of the land
Where the small remains of your past, forms the sand

This is where the water turns from deep blue to light
Where the footprints of past yesterdays, are still insight

This is where the becomes shallower as you find your way through
This is where none of us exist, not even you

This is where memories go when they are threw
This is where you will go when you’re done too

Done with running in place
Done with the mask of disguise, that is upon your face

So come, this new place, to you I will show
But to come here, your true self, you need to know

So step up and follow me
Let me show you how things are supposed to be

This was a very good poem, up the ending verses. the last three sort of lost their rhyme. but other wise, it was very beautiful.
