The pond. (Haiku)

The pond so tranquil
A toad sits on the lotus
The sweltering heat

Haiku:
An unrhymed verse of Japanese Origin having three lines, usually has a seasonal reference or on nature.
Arrangement: 5-7-5 syllable count.

    The frog is used often in poems and I felt sorry for the old toad so used him in mine. Thanks for the comments, appreciated.

    this is not a haiku. the first line should have 5 syllables, and the 2nd and third line should have 7 and 5 syllables respectivley. nice try, though.

    wow i love it! such a beautyful imgae even though it is a toad. a perfect example of a great haiku.
