Ego Not Needed

by Robert   Aug 2, 2005

Sharp are my claws as I stroll from tree to tree,
slowly but surely caring only for me.
I See the world below going fast each day,
as I idle and eat just living to sway.
My arms help me reach what vegetation I grab with my tongue.
leaving the only worries I have for my young.
The are like me curled on my chest no worries at all,
bound the the tree above dreading the day they fall.
I bother no one just the leaves that surround me,
and wishing that all life was as free as can be.
hair but hold no heat as I stretch across the sky,
never really revealing my self because I am that shy.
So call me lazy call me that big and slow,
call me anything because with my life who needs an ego?

Ohh how I love this one.

This is beautifully written, and with such emotion expressed so wonderfully.

The imagery in this is breathtaking, it creates such vivid pictures in the reader's mind, and the flow is perfect throughout.
