Through Color Blinded Eyes

by HOLLY ARMER   Oct 12, 2005

Colors swirl around me
blinding to my eyes
Tarnished by the darkness
embedded by your lies

My once bright and shining world
lost within the black
As my heart flounders under
the weight of your attack

Watching the orange and yellow's
fading to angry red
Cast into this hateful life that's
now painted up with dread

Searching all the boundaries
for wisps of pink or blue
Just anything to challenge
the void I'm falling through

But there are no colors to save me
so here's to my demise
As I watch this vacant world
through color blinded eyes
