Eternal Fall

by LettersFromEnnis   Nov 4, 2005

I wish my life away
As I fall from the top
I say this will all end
Even though its not

As I descend
My mind lies to me
Telling me I will land
But when will that be?

It would be nice
To land hard on my face
But how will that happen
There may be no way

I am shut out
By the raging humanity
My life is no fairytale
This is reality

Im still falling
Seeing all these places
Where creativity could never bloom
Inside all these faces

Im getting closer to the end
I dont want to anymore
Id rather keep falling
And be farther than closer

The ground is right in my face
I can smell the rising anger
It all goes to my head
But I want to fall longer

I have finally landed
Everything came and it went by
So this fall wasnt eternal
And now I sit and cry

This poem has an excellent ending - and an even better beginning - the first line really brings you into the poem as it is quite a strong phrase. :) Nice work.
