It Became a Silhouette

by LettersFromEnnis   Apr 19, 2006

I wrote this when I was like in the 6th grade.

Twin towers in the sky
Talking, walking by
Dancing to the sound
Of the melodies all around
Feeling a fresh breeze
Everything's an at ease
Bathing in spring rain
And then, a noise
Screaming girls and boys
A treacherous sound they hear
It seems to be getting near
What could it be
And now, it is no longer a mystery
A plane is getting closer
Splitting the air in half
Passing everything in its path
And then in quick motion
There is a big explosion
Then the towers go down fast
Now they fall to their last
And in place of these towers I met
Stands alone, a silhouette
