Dreamer- Part 2

Sometimes I wake up in the morning
And the first thing I do is think
Think of why people
Are the way they are

So I drive out in the streets
And then I find the answer
Its no guessing game
I know right away

In one place
I see a woman at the bus stop
I can only see the back of her head
But I see smoke rising around her

Shes smoking a cigarette
So I think
Why is she?
She may as well commit suicide

It's the same thing
It's just like time
Is moving slow
And what's a slow death worth anyway?

In another place
I see a man
Hes sitting on the cement
Begging for money

I hear his tin cup jingling
Its filled with coins
But barely enough to buy himself
A pack of gum

He still sits there
As people pass him by
They know hes there
But most just dont care

On the other side
I see another man
Pointing his gun at a woman
Forcing her to give up her purse

Everyone is screaming
But then a patrol car comes
And spots the man with the gun
So hes finally arrested

At the far corner
There is a couple
They seem to be happy
But an argument arises

The man is calm
But his wife is yelling
He says something she doesnt like
So she slaps him across the face

She runs away across the street
And a car is coming
The man runs towards her and pushes her away
But he suffers the consequences

She gets up
She runs towards his lifeless body
She shakes him with haste
But he just lies there

Next thing I know
An ambulance comes
They rush his body away
And now shes alone

But I know
What the feeling
Is like
I feel for her

Now she starts running
And she comes my way
Shes still crying
And she runs into me

Even though Im just a stranger
She cries on my shoulder
I tell her its okay
And I take her to the hospital

I leave her there
And I wish her the best
So now I drive home
Some perfect world...
