Come back as you once were

by Mona   Nov 8, 2005

She keeps her thoughts safe in a higher place,
While you are is dusting off your trophy case,
She feels the pain everywhere from head to toe,
While you are watching your favorite tv show.

You keep you head up high with all you pride,
You keep growing and you are pushing her aside,
Your words hurt her like the sting of a killer bee.
You should stop showing off your doctor's degree.

She looks happy but how long can she fake?
While you are sleeping she is sitting there awake.
She's crying and blames herself for her mistakes.
She's still breathing, but she bends and breaks.

She feels so empty, her self-confidence you stole,
Now every night she screams to find her lost soul,
She breaks down as you leave through the front door,
Come back as you once were, is what she cries out for.
