Heart So Numb

Right behind me
there is a door i cant see

right in front there is a noose
confused but then what is there to loose

you are standing right next to my left hand
you watch me bleed and say you understand

i see my saviour when i look above
my knife is scared of me though you called this love

i look at this red river flowing beneath my skin
i look in your eye, you remind me of regret, you remind me of my sin

i feel so helpless while i turn to my right
will there be someone to save me from this plight?

you stare at me with that evil smile
show me the key to my door & run another mile

i know for all these years i have been a game for you
someday you will know what you have put me through

where am i, who am i?
standing alone i feel so dumb
thinking of what to think next
my heart is so numb

    This is a poem full of so much sadness and pain. It can almost cry itself. Excellent job on the emotion.
