Piano Girl

by RachelAnne   Nov 30, 2005

Her fingers are swollen,
shes nervous with cold sweat,
her voice was stolen,
and the scene is readily set

nervous she took a step forward,
shaking she looks on ahead toward,
the piano sat there so easily lit,
making the impression of royalty fit

the spotlight brought her out,
her dress shown like stars,
other girls would begin to pout,
shes more famous than the man on mars

just a few more steps forward now,
her heart begin to beat out loud,
right before she sat she forgot how,
all thoughts came to her of people being proud

Regaining her composure she sat down,
believing she could do it she smiled forgetting her frown,
placing her fingers upon the keys,
its now time for everyone else to be pleased

music filled the room with confidence and sound,
her talent she wanted she had finally found,
everyone was in a daze,
as if looking through a phase

too soon the music was over,
and everybody loved her,
as she stood up to leave the floor,
the crowd didnt want it they cried out for one more

blushing, she took a bow and began to play another,
memories filled her mind this song was for her mother,
breaking down she ran to her brother,
and that was her passion she had no other
