My number one

My number one.

Writing poetry is difficult, specially on request,
But this one aint to hard, 'cause papa you're the best!
When I've had a bad day at school, and I come home with a frown,
You look at me and do something funny, 'cause papa you're my clown.

You love my mama dearly, and thats just great to see,
'cause the love you shair together, seems to reflect and shine on me.
You love your family so much, you'd do anything for your ken,
Make your girls unhappy, and scare off all the men.

Anyways, we found some guys, and they're pretty smart too,
'cause us girls tought them well, they have respect for you.
Well, obviously they do, or I wouldn't let them stay,
'cause papa you're my everything, my sun if the day is grey.

I would give you the world, 'cause that's what you are to me,
The world just seems appropriate, fun for you to see.
But, I couldn't afford the world, it's an expensive thing to give,
And the maintenance would be terrible, what a place to live.

I love it when you make me laugh, even when times are tough,
And even that evil smile you do, I can't seem to get enough.
I love it when we listen to music, and you start to sing along,
And play your air guitar, to that one bon jovi song.

So what I'm trying to say, is that you're my number one,
You'll always be, you even were when my life had just begun.
You make me happy when I'm sad, and that means a lot to me,
And with this poem, I hope that that's just what you'll see.
