Close your eyes, dear

by Mona   Dec 31, 2005

Can you see her standing there?
Breathing the cold air
Her black hair is dancing with the wave
She is standing there so brave

Her wrists with scars
Yet her green eyes shine like stars
Her condition unknown
Her face like a stone

She looked up at me almost as if to say
Take me away
I whispered in her ear,
Close your eyes dear, Heaven is near

Heaven's throne we will claim
Cause hell is all the same
Put these white roses in your hair
Your life in heaven will be fair

So close your eyes now dear,
Cause heaven is near
At least so it seems
In my sweetest dreams...
