Missing You

by Cuddles   Jan 30, 2006

With each passing day that I don't hear your voice
I miss you more and more.
I listen for the sound of your footsteps
and wait to see your smile when you look in the door.

But you are not here, and deep down I'm bleeding.
I need to feel your presence.
It is what keeps me from going insane-
your aura, your very essence.

I am dying because you're not here.
I can't feel your breath on my skin.
I miss you with my heart, mind, and soul.
I curse this time alone I must spend.

Please don't be gone forever.
I'm not sure I'll survive.
I need you more than I can say.
You're the only thing that keeps me alive.

Simple, but expressive, capturing emtioons and feelings. You had a good rhyming pattern that didn't feel forced. Great job!
