Where is the light?

by David Marshall   Jan 30, 2006

Can someone tell me, Where is the light?
Why do I sit here, All alone at night?
Thinking of things I shouldn't have done.
I lay here depressed while others have fun.
Can someone tell me, Where is the light?
I hate this sorrow I'm forced to fight.
Is this my purpose? Is this my fate?
Is there still time to change, no its too late.
God I hate all of this despair, but i already know that life is not fair.
So very alone, it's not a good sight.
I still ask myself, Where is the light?

*the door to your room opens and the light bursts through. In the blinding light you see a figure walking over to you, coming over and taking your hand. She smiles at you and says, "here is the light, the light given from friend to friend, that helps us through the long, cold dark nights. Knowing that we are not alone, the light is a friend who cares about you."*
