Wall Of Silence

by hayley williams   Jan 14, 2004

Jamie was covered in blood when he was found,
his black and blue body lay dead on the ground.

You beat him so bad you cracked his skull,
to leave him dead was your only goal.

You battered him so much his liver split in two,
i just wish someone had the guts to stop you.

you and seven friends robbed Jamie of his life,
left his family suffering in pain and strife.

You took it in turn to jump on his head,
not fully content till he was totally dead.

Jamie was not yet a man, he was just seventeen,
the blood has gone but your hands will never be clean.

His parents live with the fact you killed their son,
but still you show no remorse for what you have done.

What gave you the right to take a life away?
a few years in prison is a small price to pay.

For Jamie and his family the night-
mare never ends,
all because of you and your evil friends.

R.I.P Jamie Robe who was brutally murdered on august 7th 1997 by a gang of 8 thugs in London, his only crime to walk through their area. Only 3 of his killers were ever charged and they each got sentenced just 12 years each. Even though many people witnessed Jamie's death no witnesses came forward because they were to scared. Jamie's parents fought against this wall of silence to bring his killers to justice!

I liked the title very much... well done... and I liked the poem very much as well... it's sad how many people die everyday because of ignorance... People should respect each other and try to live in peace... It's sad how they always get an excuse to start a war...
Anyway, congratulations... I guess poems are a reflection of our souls... :)
